The New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Transportation Ministry has been established to assist in the proper Operation, Usage, Maintenance, and vehicle control for assigned church owned vehicle assets. This function will provide routine maintenance for assigned vehicles, and will provide the necessary management guidance as pertains to the vehicle control of these assets when ministries desire vehicles for the accomplishments of duties related to church requirements. These assets will be controlled through the transportation ministry by approval through the chairman of this function for usage of church vehicle assets. Following are procedure/Plans for this function.
Assigned vehicles will be routinely prepared for service by personnel assigned within the transportation ministry, routine maintenance will include the following actions.
- Tires, Windshield Wipers, Fuel, Oil Check, Fluid Levels, General safety reviews for safety of vehicles prior to usage.
- Quarterly Maintenance will be performed by a vehicle maintenance activity (Auto Doctor) who will check the following areas of the vehicles, Tire Rotation, Alignment, Tune-ups, General vehicle maintenance.
- Operator reviews will be used following usage of vehicles to ensure operator concerns noted will be addressed by assigned transportation ministry personnel. This action will identify/correct minor defects prior to becoming major repair concerns.
- Key Control; Vehicle keys will be issued by the Transportation Ministry for usage of assigned vehicles. We ask that if possible a 24-48 hour window be provided prior to usage of vehicle. This will ensure we perform required safety/routine maintenance task before use.
